The lecture was presided over by Professor Tao yuliu, vice president of the Institute of physical education, and attended by some teachers, postgraduates and undergraduates of 2017 and 2018.
From 2001 to 2009, during the preparation, operation and aftermath of the Beijing Olympic Games, BOCOG's outstanding legal work achievements have made important contributions to China's socialist legal practice and Olympic legal practice, forming a valuable spiritual wealth and institutional heritage. In order to enable students to have a preliminary understanding of the legal work of the Olympic Games, director Liu first elaborated the narrow and broad sense of the Olympic Games and the concept of Paralympic Games, and clearly stated that the main body of legal affairs of the Olympic Games is the International Olympic Committee, the national or regional Olympic Committee and the international individual sports organization. Then, director Liu explained that the Olympic legal affairs are based on the laws and regulations of various countries or regions, the Olympic Charter and the legal documents within the Olympic family. He also stressed that the legalization of the modern Olympic management system and operation mechanism has been strengthened day by day, involving more and more fields, including many legal frontier fields.
The explanation in the early stage of the meeting let us have a deeper understanding of the basis and subject of the legal affairs of the Olympic Games. With the deepening of the theme, the contents of the explanation are gradually refined, such as the detailed introduction of the contract business of the Olympic Organizing Committee and the Olympic intellectual property protection, the Olympic and Winter Olympic legislation, etc. What makes the students more interested is the practice process of China's Olympic law. Although the history of China's Olympic law practice is very short, the foresight and innovative legal business of Beijing Organizing Committee has created a comprehensive situation of China's Olympique legal work in a number of legal fields, and it has become a major domestic and international event (especially culture, sports and games) in China The legal work of organizations provides important experience.
Finally, director Liu communicated with the students on the issue of sports reform, patiently answered the questions raised by the students, and won bursts of applause. Through the study of this lecture, students have a deeper understanding of the process of legal practice of the Olympic Games, which is of great significance to our theoretical study of sports policies, laws and regulations.
